Tasting Notes
The 2022 vintage is sure to please die-hard fans and new-comers alike. A full-bodied red with notes of ripe and juicy strawberry, black cherry, dark chocolate, leather and sweet tobacco. It has soft, silky tannins, a bright acidity and a long, long, long finish.
Vineyard Notes
Our neighbor Elmer Eidse kept his Baco Noir. Now these old vines are managed organically to create this delicious wine that is a living history of the British Columbia wine industry. 2022 was a moderate vintage in the Okanagan Valley, yielding red wines of fruity intensity with still high acidity and softer tannins.
Production Notes
The wine fermented in a 10,000L oak foudre. Fermentation completed naturally, leaving some residual sugar in the wine. Bottled young and fresh!
